A passionate Donald Trump supporter tried to sabotage the musical A Bronx Tale, directed by Robert De Niro, on Saturday evening.

The intruder stood next to the stage and waved at everybody in the audience, showing a flag with the message “Keep America Great!” followed by “TRUMP 2020.”

One of the spectators of the show, Joe Del Vicario, managed to capture the moment in a picture and shared it on social media. The disappointed audience guest added a caption to his post, questioning the times that we live in on Twitter.

The incident happened towards the end of the spectacle on Saturday night, directed by De Niro in collaboration with Jerry Zaks, who is quite a renowned professional in his field with his four Tony awards.

Besides Del Vicario’s post, a lot of other Twitter photos of the avid Trump supporter followed. On many of them, the man can be seen holding the flag right next to the cast members of the musical, who were receiving ovations during their final bow on the stage at the time.

Many speculated that this act in support for the president is the answer to statements against Trump made by De Niro at the Tony Awards recently.

Del Vicario was also heard commenting that nowadays, it was impossible for people to enjoy a show without having politics involved.

This is far from the first time that fans of the president have tried to mess with a theatrical spectacle in the territory of New York City. Two other Trump supporters appeared on the stage of Julius Caesar last summer and voiced their protests of the show.

The legendary Hollywood actor has never hidden his disdain for the New York billionaire, and it appears that Trump is not a big fan of his either.

Observers predict that with the 2020 election on the horizon, more incidents like these should be expected.
