Even though Meghan Markle looked outstanding during her first public appearance after last month’s glamorous royal wedding, she also became the object of heavy criticism on social media.

The problem around the newly made Duchess of Sussex was that she dared to break the royal protocol with her choice of clothing.

Meghan joined Prince Harry and the rest of the royal family for the “Trooping the Colour” annual festivities in London on June 9.

The traditional ceremony dates back to 250 years ago and is thrown to honor the birthday of the British sovereign, even though the real birthday of Queen Elizabeth is actually on April 21.

Usually, a parade is organized with the participation of the British military troops on the grounds of the Buckingham Palace square.

The outfit the 36-year-old former Suits actress chose for the occasion was a beautiful light pink dress by Carolina Herrera.

The Duchess of Sussex combined her dress with an appropriate hat, made by the brand Philip Treacy, which was quickly recognized by her fans as the same piece of accessory that she wore a couple of days after her wedding.

Although Prince Harry’s wife seemed to be precisely at the right place while she was standing proud with the rest of the royal family, she still received massive backlash for her outfit, and many deemed it as inappropriate.

According to the comments, Meghan should not have chosen a dress that reveals her shoulders on such an official event.

One person, who agrees with that idea, said: “There is a time and place for certain attire. Meghan misses the marks with this. She just doesn’t get it. Look at how everyone else was dressed.”

At the same time, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Camilla Parker-Bowles, and the queen all wore blue outfits with long sleeves to the ceremony.
