Miss Kaia Gerber, the daughter of businessman Rande Gerber, has signed a deal with the prestigious IMG Models agency and has landed in the pages of Vogue Italia.

This week, Cindy Crawford proudly revealed to the world that her 13-year-old daughter with husband and former model Rande Gerber, Kaia Gerber had landed an impressive deal with one of the top modeling agencies in the world.
The age-defying mother shared several black and white shots of her little girl shot by Steven Meisel that are featured in Vogue Italia.
In one photo, Kaia Gerber, who worked with celebrity makeup artist Pat McGrath, looked simply stunning in a leopard jacket and black sweater.
In the second snapshot, Kaia Gerber is the spitting image of her mother in a very masculine outfit composed of a white shirt, black tie, and peacoat.
The supermodel and author of the upcoming book, Becoming By Cindy Crawford, jokingly said that the teenager is coming for her crown and demanded to get her hair and legs back. The mother of two wrote:

Kaia Gerber appeared speechless in front of the big announcement and just said “unreal” with a link to the photos. After being discovered by a local photographer in her native DeKalb, Illinois, at 17, Cindy Crawford, whose real name is Cynthia Ann Crawford, signed with Elite Model Management. She went on to become the face of Versace, Escada, Revlon, Maybelline and Clairol.
She was featured on the covers of Vogue, W, People, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and SI. However, after leaving the modeling world to become a very successful businesswoman, the valedictorian, who was on her way to a career as a chemical engineer, had made it clear she did not want Kaia Gerber to start modelling at a young age. Kaia Gerber told Teen Vogue recently:
“She doesn’t want me to start a career too young. She started modeling when she was 16, but that world is very different now.”
Around the same time, Kaia Gerber landed a modeling gig as the face of Versace’s children’s line and once more her mother revealed that it was a one-time thing and her daughter was more focused on One Direction than anything else. Crawford stated:
“[Versace] was a one-off thing. She had fun. She’s 12. We’ll see what happens. I can at least help her navigate it. She’s more interested in singing and dancing. Right now she’s interested in Harry Styles.”
She added:
“I look at my 12-year-old daughter. She has my legs. I told her that I want my legs and my hair back.”
The announcement of Kaia Gerber’s modeling contract has some people blasting Cindy Crawford for letting her young daughter into an industry that will sexualize her. Others find Gerber is wearing too much makeup.
Few are wondering if, like Kris Jenner and Kendall Jenner, Crawford is a bit jealous of Gerber with her constant “I want my this and that back” comments.
