Nicholas Brendon Apologizes For Idaho Arrest

Nicholas Brendon apologizes to his fans for his arrest. Along with the apology, the Buffy The Vampire Slayer actor has announced that he is heading to rehab.

Actor Nicholas Brendon apologizes for his behavior and arrest via Twitter and Facebook. In a lengthy post, Brendon gave more details on why he was taken to the Ada County Jail last weekend in Boise, Idaho.

The Criminal Minds star explained that he accidentally mixed medication that he is taking for an injured knee with alcohol. Nicholas Brendon who is set to have surgery on the knee, next week, said that the mixture lead to a very embarrassing situation.

The former Private Practice actor said in the lengthy apology:

“I made the poor decision to mix this prescribed medication with alcohol. The result was embarrassing and unacceptable.”

According to reports, the 43-year-old was in Boise to take part in Tree City Comic Con where fans paid $40 for a picture and $30 to get his autograph. After leaving the expo, he trashed his hotel room, broke a vase in the lobby and fought with Idaho cops when they attempted to arrest him.

Brendon was charged with resisting officers and malicious injury to property. Nicholas Brendon told his supporters, his wife (he married Moonda Tee last month) and himself that he was sorry for what occurred at the hotel. He writes:

“Usually those words end a message like this but I am beginning with them to emphasize how much I regret disappointing my family, my fans, and myself. I can offer an explanation but I make no excuse for my unacceptable behavior.”

The My Neighbor’s Secret star went on to share that he has decided to voluntarily enter rehab for alcoholism. This is not Brendon’s first rehab stint.

In March of 2010, a very intoxicated Brendon was tasered and arrested in Los Angeles after he tried to punch a police officer. Brendon entered SOBA Recovery Center in Malibu to seek help for his addictions and his anger issues.

  1. This man needs to get to an AA Meeting and keep going. All of these fancy rehabs sound great but he needs to be amongst ordinary folk who understand exactly what he is going through. Entitled, unique, different, exceptional, etc. are descriptions that are the antithesis of helpful to the addictive personality. He needs to be with his own kind – drunks and addicts no matter how talented, accomplished, etc. they are.
