Missing siblings’ remains found in the small town of El Control, just outside of the Mexican border city of Matamoros. According to reports, Erika Alvarado, Alejandro Alvarado, and Jose Angel Alvarado, all from Progreso, Texas, along with Jose Guadalupe Constaneda were killed by the Matamoros police unit.

The three siblings and their friend Constaneda, were kidnapped on October 13 as they were standing next to a taco stand. According to their mother, Raquel Alvarado, 26-year-old Erica Alvarado had traveled to Mexico with her boyfriend Jose Guadalupe Constaneda, to spend some time with her younger brothers, Alejandro Alvarado, 22, and Jose Angel Rivera Alvarado, 21.

The siblings and Mr Constaneda were taken by the Matamoros police unit, which is an elite security team that works for the mayor of Matamoros. The foursome was beaten, shot and their remains were later burned by the group of men also know as Hercules. The siblings’ mother said:

“I don’t hold any grudges because God is good and only he knows what he will do with time. Because holding grudges or doing anything is not going to bring my children back, it won’t bring my princess back.”

The governor of the Mexican state of Tamaulipas promised authorities would bring those responsible for the death of the siblings and Mr Constaneda to justice.

But Mrs Alvarado explained that Mexican authorities would not give her any information, so family members in Mexico had to conduct their own investigation.

The family learned of the deaths, after the children’s father drove to the morgue in Matamoros and identified the remains himself.
