As far out as two years ago, teams started dumping salary cap space in hopes that they would be able to lure LeBron to their city. A number of teams joined James at his house after free agency began to sway his opinion. Now, it seems that LeBron will be joining his friends in Miami.

The announcement will come from the Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich, Connecticut. The hour long special, which has been titled “The Decision,” will donate all of its proceeds to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
James has remained silent throughout the free agency period, but recently asked his fans to send him questions over Twitter, that he will answer after his decision is announced.

Lebron James Rumors:Where Is Lebron James Going In 2010? – LeBron James is saving one of the biggest announcements of the season for one of the biggest sports networks on television.
ESPN have announced that they will host LeBron James gala at 9pm Thursday, where LeBron will discuss his future after becoming the most sort after free agent on the 1st of July this year.
It has been reported that six sides (Bulls, Knicks, Nets, Clippers, Heat and Cavs) have had formal meetings with LeBron within the last week to discuss a deal for his future.

The Knicks have not been informed if they are in the running or not, but they believe they stand a strong chance as they have appeared to secure a five-year deal for Amar’e Stoudemire, a player that can draw in any other player in the world on reputation alone. It is also reported that the Knicks are believed to be the only team (out of the six) that have had a second meeting with LeBron’s agent Leon Rose. Grunwald (in charge of finance at the Knicks) is believed to have told Rose that after they had signed Stoudemire and LeBron they would still have money to sign other ‘big names’, and if they secure these two and still have money, then the Knicks will surely be a dominant force in the NBA next season.
The Knicks know that LeBron will be in New York this weekend to attend the wedding of Denver Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony and La La Vasquez. However, the question on Knicks fans minds will be if he is a player for them by the weekend. Tune into ESPN on Thursday at 9pm to find out.

Koman Coulibaly USA Slovenia World Cup 2010 Drama – The U.S. got off to another terrible start in their second World Cup game, giving up a goal early to Slovenia. They were, however, able to battle back and receive the draw instead of the loss, putting themselves in a position to advance to the second round if they can get a victory in their next match. With the US team down by two goals at one point, they were able to mount a comeback on the shoulders of Landon Donovan, who was the heart and soul of the comeback draw. Solvenia was tired, and had collected a number of yellow cards throughout the match.
The US scored in the 82nd minute of the match on a goal by Michael Bradley. The momentum had shifted to the favor of the US, and it seemed like they were preparing to score a winner. With the full time closing in, the winner was knocked in off of a corner kick by Maurice Edu. However, the goal was disallowed by referee Koman Coulibaly. He said that Michael Bradley had been offside even though he was being crabbed from behind by a Solvenian defender.

The call will do doubt continue to create controversy throughout the league. Many of the players had no idea why the call was disallowed, and were upset over the quick change in events. Some have speculated that the ref had called a foul on Edu, who made the goal but it did not appear that there had been any illegal contact on the inspection of the replay. While the US was able to battle back, they were unable to achieve victory thanks to the blown call. Both teams were awarded one point a piece for the draw.

Lakers vs Celtics Game 7 – The Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers will be facing off one more time in the 7th game of the NBA finals on ESPN/ABC at 9PM EST. Both teams are ready to go, and with the series entering the last game possible, it is do or die time for both teams. The cool demeanor of many of the players on both teams shows how accustomed they are to being in high pressure situations on the basketball court. Kobe Bryant, who has won 4 championships and is going for his fifth, is especially cool headed, yet focused on the job that needs to be done in order for his team to come out on top.
“I’ve said the whole season, if you don’t win a championship, it’s a failure,” said Bryant. “It’s as simple as that.”

The Celtics and Lakers have faced off many times in the history of the two teams. They met on three different occasions throughout the 1980′s, before meeting again two years ago. The Celtics were able to secure a victory the last time around, and looked as if they could be on the verge of another before the last game, when they were up 3-2 in the series. They were unable to close out the victory, and instead allowed the Lakers to tie the series up, with the 7th game being played in LA.
This will certainly be the finals where Kobe Bryant proves whether or not he is on the same level as other greats including Michael Jordan. A fifth ring would place him one behind Jordan, and would prove that his first ring without Shaquille O’neal, which came last year, was not a fluke at all.
It will be interesting to see how Boston performs without Kendrick Perkins, who tore ligaments in his knee during the last game.
