Robin Thicke and Paula Patton are selling their Hollywood home. Thicke has been doing his best (publicly) to get back his wife of eight years but the campaign that reached its peak with the release of the album Paula is apparently not working.

TMZ.com reports that the couple is asking $2.9 million for the house located in Los Angeles. The estranged couple are parents to a four-year-old boy named Julian Fuego Thicke.

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton got married in 2005, they have known each other for over 20 years. They announced their separation in February 2014. The “Blurred Lines” singer then went all in trying to save the relationship.

Thicke released the Paula LP in July. It turned out to be a huge commercial failure compared to his previous hit Blurred Lines. Only 25,000 copies of the album were sold in the first week of its release.

The crooner did admit that he did not know what he was doing when it comes to dedicating an entire album to his estranged wife. He supposedly wanted to turn his sorrow into an artistic venture. More cynical voices claim that he was trying to capitalize on his personal drama by using Paula Patton as a promotional vehicle. Could this be why the public and his fans decided to more or less ignore the album?

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton are now giving up on the home that the singer’s father Alan gave them as a gift when they got married. Alan Thicke initially bought it for $910,000 in 1990 according to TMZ.

The movie star has kept a very low media profile since the separation news broke even going as far as cancelling her Instagram account after the press tried to read too much into her postings. Patton has no films lined up for the remainder of 2014 although she is rumored to be working on Mission: Impossible 5.

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton marriage now seems to be a distant memory.
