Rebecca Romijn ‘Skin Wars’ Brings Body Painting To GSN

Rebecca Romijn Skin Wars

Rebecca Romijn new reality show “Skin Wars” is going to take the TV genre to new heights. Romijn as host will join judges RuPaul, Robin Slonina and Craig Tracy. The body painting competition will start airing on the Game Show Network (GSN) on August 6 at 9 PM.

“Skin Wars” was initially announced in February, but press wise things only stated moving quickly earlier this month with RuPaul pushing the program on social media and Rebecca Romijn meeting the media during the 2014 Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour in Beverly Hills.

The concept behind this new reality competition is fairly simple, every week contestants have to take on a challenge related to body painting, the one who does not perform well enough gets eliminated. The person who ends up winning the whole thing will take home a nice check of $100,000.

Fans of body painting now have something to look forward. GSN has been posting body art pictures from the series on Twitter for days now, it’s easy to see why the show could become a hit with body painting enthusiasts all over the country.

Rebecca Romijn “Skin Wars” is a cool return to television for the X-Men: First Class actress who last appeared on TNT’s “King & Maxwell,” a drama that was cancelled in September after 10 episodes.

Although this new career move may surprise some, the mother-of-two has plenty of experience with the matter. Portraying Mystique in the X-Men movies necessitated a lot of painting. “Skin Wars” is not the only gig on Romijn’s radar for the remainder of 2014.

The former Victoria’s Secret model will star later this year on TNT’s “The Librarians” with Noah Wyle and Christian Kane. The show that is currently being filmed in Oregon will premiere in December.

Rebecca Romijn, 41, a Berkeley, California native has been married to “Sliders” actor Jerry O’Connell, 40, for over 7 years now. The couple are parents to twin daughters Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip who will turn 6 in December.

Romijn was previously hitched to “Full House” actor John Stamos.
