Michael VanWagner: DUI Suspect Posts Wreck Pics After Killing Teen Jason McCarthy

Michael VanWagner posted a picture of his wreck car, on Facebook after two accidents that left a teenager named Jason McCarthy dead. Michael VanWagner, now a DUI suspect was slammed for posting a photo of his destroyed Sedan accompanied by a tasteless joke. Believe it or not Michael VanWagner, claimed that he was so drunk the night of the accidents that he was unaware that he killed someone. VanWagner has apologized for the pics and deleted them.

Michael VanWagner, decided on the night of July 22, after partying with friends, to drive himself back home.

VanWagner who was beyond drunk and has no driver’s license, got into his grey Sedan and headed to Coon Rapids, Minneapolis.

The 24-year-old father of one had a first accident on Highway 252 and 73rd Avenue and fled the scene.

The intoxicated man kept driving and had a second accident on Highway 252 in Brooklyn Park.

This time around he hit two cars, one which was being driven by Jason McCarthy.

Jason McCarthy, a 16-year-old honor student, who loved music was seriously injured and rushed to the North Memorial Medical Center

As McCarthy was fighting for his life in the hospital, VanWagner who is on probation after being arrested for making terrorist threats, took to Facebook where he shared a picture of his destroyed grey Sedan.

In the shocking caption which included a smiley, the DUI suspect wrote:

“That’s her front end after I got done with her lol.”

Mr VanWagner also shared a photo of himself with his pet snake and explained:

“I’m all good slept a day in the hospital then came home and did yard work lol.”

When Michael VanWagner learned that Jason McCarthy had died from his injuries, he deleted the posts.

Talking to the media, the drunk driver revealed that he was very intoxicated the night of the car crash.

He said that he thought he hit something and never knew he had killed a teenager.

VanWagner added he was arrested on Wednesday and released on bail and will be charged in the upcoming months with the crime.

He is fully aware that he will be spending a very long time behind bars and is therefore spending his time as a free man with his 18-month-old baby.
