After a lackluster performance at the CNN debate on September 16 and mishandling statements made by a voter at a town hall meeting in New Hampshire, GOP frontrunner Donald Trump is still looking for ways to change the conversation.

Trump is back with his anti-Fox News antics and has launched attacks on two of the right-leaning network’s biggest stars – Megyn Kelly and Bill O’Reilly. The billionaire tweeted and retweeted some messages from supporters to highlight his displeasure with FNC’s coverage of his campaign.

Trump, who has been sliding in the polls, is not happy with some of the network’s commentators, who view his run for the White House as bad for the Republican Party. For example, Charles Krauthammer blamed Trump for turning the campaign into a real circus. Krauthammer was a guest on The O’Reilly Factor on September 21, and he said that the businessman has forced the election to be about small issues like women’s appearance, Jeb Bush‘s low energy and President Obama being a closeted Muslim. O’Reilly tried to blame the so-called liberal media for bringing those subjects to the forefront. However, Krauthammer countered:

[Trump] He’s the one who’s gone on and on and on in just about every speech about how… Jeb Bush is a very, very low energy guy. He’s got this teeny, tiny, weenie energy while Trump has this giant, big, huge energy. …And you need a psychiatrist to deconstruct that.

Trump hit back hard on social media.

The candidate, who had previously attacked Kelly in the morning, came back last night for more.

Bill O’Reilly appeared on the Today show Tuesday and tried to calm things down with Trump. The author of Killing Reagan: The Violent Assault That Changed a Presidency told NBC‘s Matt Lauer:

“He wants people to like him. When people criticize him, he takes it personally. And then, you know, this machine, this tweeting thing, that’s like the worst thing you could give Donald Trump is this tweeting thing. So I just think this is just a extension of his reality show, The Apprentice. This is just theater right now. … The personal stuff is a piffle.”

Update Tuesday night: More attacks from Trump on Kelly.
