Logan James Stiner who was crowned king prom died after taking a great amount of caffeine powder. James Stiner was an honor student who was days away from graduating from Keystone High School. The athletic and brilliant Ohio teenager was planning to study chemical engineering.

Logan James Stiner who was crowned prom king of Keystone High School has died of caffeine overdose.

Students and teachers from Keystone High School in Lagrange, Ohio, were shocked to learn the sudden death of Logan James Stiner just hours after he was named prom king and his girlfriend prom queen.

Stiner was discovered laying on the kitchen floor of his family home in Ohio by his brother at 11 a.m. on May 27.

The brother immediately called 911 thinking that Logan had passed out, but emergency personals pronounced Logan James Stiner dead at the scene.

At first it was believed that the 18-year-old star wrestler who was also in National Honor Society had died of natural causes, but the autopsy and a search in the house revealed otherwise.

The young man’s mother Katie Stiner, turned over numerous bags of caffeine powder that she found in Logan’s room.

The autopsy revealed that Stiner had more than 70 micrograms of caffeine per milliliter of blood in his system knowing that 50 micrograms is considered a lethal dose to a human being.

Mrs Stiner knew that her child was taking some kind of pre-workout substance, but never knew the name of the product nor that it could be dangerous.

The beloved and kind student who helped those participating in the Special Olympics was planning to attend the University of Toledo and study chemical engineering.

The high school senior died just one week before graduation from Keystone High School.

This is a huge loss for people at the Keystone High School.
