Zooey Deschanel And Ben Gibbard Break Up – Zooey Deschanel is single and is ready to mingle once again.
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy actress Zooey Deschanel has announced that she is separating from her husband Ben Gibbard who is the lead singer of the popular rock band Death Cab for Cutie after two years of marriage.
The star who is currently riding on the success of her new comedy New Girl said in a statement that the split was amicable and that no cheating occurred.
While Deschanel has always been beaming about her marriage, Gibbard on the other hand had once stated that he would prefer to make music than focus on relationships.
The duo were married in a lavish ceremony in Seattle, Wash., in 2009 and have no children together.
