Wrestler Sheamus is set to play Darth Vader in the upcoming Star Wars movie. Sheamus took to Twitter where he gave several clues related to his Darth Vader role. Fans of the WWE will have to wait, till the Christmas holiday of 2015 to see Sheamus in the iconic all black Vader gear.

Professional wrestler Sheamus, has found some clever ways to give his fans hints about his upcoming role as Darth Vader without breaching his contract and getting fired by director J.J. Abrams.

It all started on July 30th, when the 36-year-old athlete posted a picture of Darth Vader toys including the iconic lightsaber, he received as a present from Hasbro.

Minutes after sharing the photo of the toy, the Assault of Darkness actor uploaded another photo of Vader with his lightsaber.

On the snapshot King Sheamus wrote his signature word “fellllllaaaa.”

If those were not enough clues that he had indeed landed a role in the forthcoming installment of the Star Wars saga entitled Star Wars 7, Mr Sheamus O’Shaunessy went out of his way to deny, well confirm the news.

Sheamus whose real name is Stephen Farrelly, tweeted an article from an Irish paper to speak about his new movie and gave the funny answer below:

“I cant confirm that i wont not be reprising role of Darth Vader in #StarWars … I hope that’s clear @IrishMirror ;)”

If that money quote above does not say that Farrelly is the new Vader; well, we don’t know what will.

The cast of Star Wars 7 composed of Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford were spotted on Skellig Michael island just miles from Ireland filming scenes for the highly anticipated movie and guess who was also seen there?

You guessed it right, several crew members took to Twitter to reveal that Sheamus was seen hanging around with the other stars.

Wrestling lovers will have to keep enjoying Sheamus in the ring for the next year, because Star Wars 7 will only arrive in theaters on December 18th, 2015.

Yes, this is a very long wait to see Sheamus in his Vader costume.

  1. Um.. Vader is dead… like really dead.. body burned and everything..How much of the story is Disney rewriting again to make the new movies fit.. is anything from the movies canon anymore or is it all just at the whim of Disney to change what ever they like to make the movies fit? I hate to say this.. but the more I see about the changes to the original trilogy, the less faith I have in these movies doing the franchise true justice.. I hate to see Star Wars be rendered into nothing more then just a cash cow to milked until it drys up then tossed aside into obscurity.

    1. Eric Bana will show up through a wormhole and blow up Dantooine.
If the new trilogy fails, they’ll just wait ten years and then do a reboot. I’m hoping they do the franchise justice, though.

    2. Remember, obi-wan died in “A New hope” and yet he was still in the following two movies as a spirit. I do not know if its how they plan on doing it but it would be an option.

  2. Yeah really Darth Vader is dead WTF is Disney and JJ planing on doing to the franchise. especially since this is supposed to be 25 years later. If they try to bring back Vader it will be the worst move they could EVER do.

  3. I am guessing he will be in some flashbacks or something. There have already been rumors of flashbacks to when Leia was a child.

  4. Let me see. In order for Luke to go forward and become the Master Jedi he becomes, he in battle kills his father, Darth Vader, and frees him from the Dark Side. Yet, here we have a wrestler saying he will be playing Darth Vadar. In what context, as a ghostly vision coming to give Luke advice? Then that would be Anakin Skywalker not Darth Vadar. There is no storyline in all of the Star Wars canon that event remotely states that Darth Vadar survived the death and the burning of his body, never mind comes back and terrorizes the galaxy once again. JJ say it aint so.

    1. They have a easy way to bring him back….They have clones!!! Trust me they will have his DNA and he will be back….Maybe more than one.

  5. Please shut up. Even if you are the ‘new Darth Vader’, leave it to your bosses to announce.
Hope you get bounced from the role. Great bodies are a dime a dozen and no one is wanting to see that face.

  6. I am just wondering if this is a WWE publicity stunt promoting another Vader from the wrestling world? Big Van Vader!!

  7. Idea: Stop complaining and wait to see they movie, THEN complain about what you didn’t like. JJ Abrams has a script, a plan, a vision. Let him do his job. Star Wars fan boys will always find something to complain about anyway, so you’ll never ever please absolutely everybody.

  8. Ok why is everyone freaking out about Vader coming back they happen to be really good at cloning in SW universe!

  9. What I’ve been hearing is that the Emperor Cloned Vader’s DNA. So, Remember when the Emperor was telling Anakin that the Force was strong enough to raise the dead in Revenge of the Sith in that scene when Anakin was asking about the darkside?

  10. Episode 1-3 was all about Cloning………….. Right? What I’m reading for Spoilers is the Emperor Cloned Vader’s DNA. There’s talk the the Emperor survived the free fall some how on Bespin or that he never died. Anakin was asking the Emperor how strong the Darkside was in the Force in that scene in (Sith). The Emperor said that is teacher was strong enough to raise the Dead. Remember?????

  11. I wonder if he is a clone…. There are rumors that emperor cloned himself, so it would possible for Vader to have been cloned as well…My head is starting to hurt…

  12. Hey as long this isnt the FrankenVader from Ep3 I am good. Padddmmeeeeee aaarrgggh.

Abrams and Kasdan are involved. Nuff said.
