Lawrence O’Donnell,Howard Dean ,Richard Wolffe will be replacing Olbermann on “Countdown” that airs at 8 p.m. and repeats at 10 p.m. who will return next week.

Please check the San Diego Union Tribune and the North County Times, Southern California for articles the past two weeks about the “paramilitary exercises in a rural residential area” of Valley Center, CA.
These exercises use live pigs that U.S. Marines, Swat teams and police trainees stab to learn how to staunch blood spewing out of wounds.
San Diego County is home of the huge Camp Pendleton Marine training base – close-by residents here in Valley Center are upset that these exercises are taking place in a quiet, rural, residential area, on private property instead of on the military base. I have been told that Camp Pendleton commanders are not willing to face demonstrations by PETA – the animal protection association. Further, shooting ranges throughout the county also are leary of facing PETA. The owner of the property where exercises are being held is a former Marine, presently police officer in Escondido, and offered his 17 acre property to BMI, the sponsor of these exercises.
The County’s regulators have asked the owner of the property to eliminate the recordings of war sounds but still allow shooting which can be heard sometimes all day. All residents here are dog owners and the animals become frantic – we feel that since this training involves U.S. Marines, it should be on a military base and not in our quiet, rural area.

I am also a neighbor to this exercises in Valley Center and see no problem. The exercises that are being done there are being done for our freedom. I understand these animals are being used for training that one day will save a life of an AMERICAN! The noise is not that loud and and it is not an everyday problem.
Thanks for the info on Keith Olbermann. I was beginning to worry a bit, since way too many of my other favorites have been cancelled, watered-down, or have just simply vanished without a trace.
Since I’m apparently a member of some sort of “poison pill demographic”, I generally avoid openly praising any TV or radio programs or personalities, since that praise seems to be the Kiss of Death.
So, for the record, and in case any MSNBC execs are reading this, I do NOT enjoy Countdown with Keith Olbermann. He gives me migraines, headaches and a nasty rash.

Good. I too was afraid he had disappeared from tv. Though I don’t watch the show every night anymore (not anything against him or the station, I’ve just been watching more tv series on dvd, and have been working more so at home time is a bit more dedicated to the Xbox 360 over simply watching tv). What would political news be like without Keith?! Boring, that’s what.

You are greatly missed, I had to Google “Where is Keith OB” to make sure you would be back, and you won’t “taken out” by Rush and his gun toting friends lol. So now I’m okay, I can survive the next few days with whomever is replacing you the rest of this week. Enjoy your vacation, and I’ll see you again next week.

where is KO? I am having terrible “withdrawels” from not listening to him. I caught a soundbite on “Hardball” by Glen Beck” today. Without Keith to counter the vibes of the ignorant, it makes life very depressing.
I ditto what chuck Lantz above said…..just worried I might have lost my favorite commentator. Not that everyone covering Keith hasn’t done a good job…they have. Keith come back…..I miss you. My day is not complete unless I have had my dose of KO humor.

Every evening I would watch Chris Matthews than Keith Overman and than Rachael Maddow. Everyone that knows me knows this. Well now that Keith Overman is not there Its going to be a cold day in hell when I watch MSNBC again. It will be hard not to watch the other ones too but to me it was all of them or mone. I will tell everyone I know not to watch. I do not like Fox at all so I guess I will have to find something else to take his place,
