Maisie Williams Slams British Airways Lounge Age Policy

Maisie Williams rips airline company for no letting her enjoy their lounge. “Game of Thrones” star Maisie Williams sent out a series of angry tweets where she slammed British Airways that denied her from accessing their airport lounge due to the fact that she is only 17 years of age and was not accompanied by an adult. British Airways apologized but Maisie Williams kept bashing them.

Maisie Williams is fiery and has a fighting spirit just like Arya Stark, the character she plays on HBO’s hit series “Game of Thrones.”

On Sunday Williams was apparently flying from Los Angeles to her native England via British Airways and had a little unpleasant moment at the airport. The 17-year-old took to Twitter to explain what happened.

According to a series of angry tweets, as she waited to board her flight she attempted to access British Airways’ Galleries Club and was denied access because she was an unaccompanied minor.

The Up On The Roof actress lamented about not being allowed to the luxury lounge and added an expletive:

“Denied from the business lounge once again for being under 18 and without an adult.. @British_Airways sort your shit out.”

The We Are Monsters star explained that if teenagers can take planes and travel thousands of miles around the world by themselves they should be able enjoy the lounge like any adult who paid for a first class or business class ticket:

“I’m not saying I deserve special treatment..Just saying if 16-18 yr olds are grown up enough to travel 5,400 miles around the world..”

Two hours after the harsh tweets were posted, British Airways apologized to Maisie:

“Hi Maisie. We’re sorry if you were disappointed, lounge guests must be 18 or older. We look forward to welcoming you soon.”

Miss Williams replied with yet another frustrated tweet:

“I’m sure we can handle sitting quietly in the damn lounge..”

She did eventually get to London where she has since calmed down and has been enjoying her family.

Poor Massie, she has to wait till April 15, 2015 to be able to step foot in an airport lounge.
