Sounds like Leash has a personal ax to grind. Judging on his exceptional command of the language, might have had more than a few teachers using the same moniker on him.

People don’t realize how destructive it is to brand a child as stupid or something equally negative. At the age of 12, I was in a math class where I became frustrated when I did not understand the material presented. My teacher told me in front of the class that I “had a brain like a sieve.” Everyone laughed but me. It followed me through high school and college was a nightmare. I almost didn’t graduate. Finally, I hired a tutor who asked me a lot of questions. When this came up, he sat me down and told me that I needed to let go of that label and let God heal my heart. In just a few weeks I began to feel confident and it showed on my work. I completed my Math requirement with a B and graduated with my class. I was 54 years old. I don’t want to see another kid treated this way again, and if firing this “teacher” is what it takes, so be it.
