Taran Killam is the new Donald Trump on SNL, that is. It has been confirmed that after a lengthy audition process, Killam landed the role, which will be used in overtime on the new season of Saturday Night Live to say things like “Ariana Huffington is unattractive, both inside and out. I fully understand why her former husband left her for a man – he made a good decision.”
Get ready to see a lot more of Taran Killam on the new season of SNL because he has landed the coveted part of Donald Trump.
Many cast members auditioned for the role of the outspoken billionaire and political figure, and Killam came out as the best impersonator, right after Jimmy Fallon, of course, who has been giving Americans an amazing Trump show.
According to Deadline, SNL’s announcer, Darrell Hammond, who previously portrayed Trump in countless skits, did not try out for the role and will instead be playing another well-known politician – Bill Clinton.
When SNL premieres on October 3 with Miley Cyrus as host and musical guest, the How I Met Your Mother and The Awesomes actor will have the opportunity to blast Mexicans, Muslims, women, Obama, who was born in Kenya and vets, who were captured on the battlefield.
Killam will get to say the word “yuge” over and over, talk about his dipping poll numbers, his incredible deals and massive wealth. Here are few pearls from Trump that can be useful to Killam:
