Tamron Hall injured herself by screaming too much. Friday night, the co-hosts of NBC’s Today show, Al Roker, Natalie Morales, Willie Geist and Tamron Hall all visited Brighton Asylum in Passaic, New Jersey.

The group took a tour of the haunted house as part of a Halloween segment that will air soon. A brief preview showed the television personalities in the dark in the creepy house where they were attacked by zombies and scary animals. For about 20 minutes, the group screamed and screamed some more.

Hall explained that after taping the segment, she went home and started feeling ill. Miss Hall said she drank some tea and took an Advil for the pain:

“I got home. I took a hot, herbal, muscle-soak bath.I’m feeling really worried. You know, do I call 911? Do I call my mother? I don’t know. So I take an Advil, an Advil PM — I just start escalating. And then I go to sleep.”

On Saturday when she woke up with the pain, she called Roker who told her to go see a doctor immediately. She shared:

“I was really in so much pain, went to the hospital, didn’t tell my mom until now, because she would have been hysterical. Went to the hospital, had a sonogram, blood work, the whole nine yards. I have a deep muscle tear.”

After conducting a battery of tests, the doctors concluded that she had a deep muscle tear, from screaming over 20 minutes.

On Monday as the co-hosts discussed Hall’s health scare, Willie Geist said he was surprised that her feet were not injured during the tour because every time she screamed, she also jumped out of fear.
