Steven Anthony Lawrence is Santa’s Helper at a California mall, and fans of Even Stevens could not be happier. Lawrence, famous for playing Bernard ‘Beans’ Aranguren in the Disney series, has been spotted working with Santa Claus this holiday season – there is a possibility it could be for his new movie.
Steven Anthony Lawrence is working as Santa’s Helper at a California mall – could it be for his 2017 movie Holly, Jingles and Clyde 3D? Lawrence became a star thanks to the role of Bernard “Beans” Aranguren in Even Stevens, a children’s comedy television series starring Shia LaBeouf and Christy Carlson Romano that aired on the Disney Channel from 2000 to 2003.
Beans played an extremely annoying neighbor of the Stevens, who came into their home uninvited, refused to leave and loved to eat bacon. After the show was cancelled, Lawrence went on to appear in several movies like Absolutely True and A Day Without Rain and many TV series.
He has been featured in countless commercials and short films and teaches at colleges including the University Of Southern California and the University Of California, Berkeley. However, the now-25-year-old has landed a new gig – he is Santa’s Helper at the Santa Photos booth at Concord’s Sunvalley Shopping Center in Concord, California.
Lawrence’s fans are flocking to the mall to snap pictures, have him sign autographs and to just hang out. In a recent interview, Lawrence told the Huffington Post that it is really strange that people still recognize him as Beans, and added:
“I feel like I’ve changed so much when I look in the mirror. But I’ll be walking down the street and people drive by for two seconds and automatically they’ll go, ‘Oh, my God! You’re Beans! Ahhh!’ God, even I would have to at least do a double-take.”
The former child star has now become a social media sensation as shoppers post hundreds of pictures of themselves with him online with the following funny captions:

So, is Steven Anthony Lawrence really Santa’s Helper or is he researching for a role? Maybe yes, maybe no.
