Gomez appears to be a Lolita in the magazine’s 94th issue, dressed in a tiny pair of high-waisted washed out jean shorts. To complete the look, the singer wore big curls, with a giant red and white bow. Gomez opted for a pair of big red hoop earrings and matching nail polish.
Inside the magazine, Selena Gomez poses in a child-like black and white cowboy hat, bandana and a bathing suit top decorated with flowers. While Gomez’s makeup is flawless, she is made to look like a preteen.
The former child star did a lengthy interview with her good friend and co-star, James Franco, where she revealed that she battled depression during and after her tumultuous romance with Canadian crooner Justin Bieber.
Gomez and Bieber dated on and off for several years. The “Baby” singer was caught cheating on the actress with countless models and few prostitutes while on tour in Latin America. Gomez was not a saint either during her time with The Biebs, she was rumored to be seeing Orlando Bloom on the side.
During the three years she dated Bieber, Gomez claimed that she felt like they had to fight the whole world to be free and in love. Despite the hectic and humiliating ride with Bieber, Gomez confessed that she would not trade that experience for anything else. Gomez said:
“When you’re young and you’re being told so many different things … it almost felt like all we had was each other, like the world was against us, in a way. It was really weird, but it was incredible. I would never take it back in a million years. You live and you learn, you know?”
According to the publication, Gomez became depressed due to the constant scrutiny over her failed romance with the mini-prince of pop. Gomez shared:
“There were a few months where I was a little depressed, where I wouldn’t leave (my house) as much. I think I drove myself crazy for a little bit. It was just easier to say, ‘Hey, do you mind running to the grocery store and picking some stuff up? I don’t want to get photographed.’”
The young diva revealed that her next boyfriend will be a secret and added:
“I think the next time (I have a boyfriend) will be much different… which will definitely not be anytime soon.”
Gomez might be lying because she has gone public with her new man, Zedd, and the pair has collaborated on a song together. The track is called “I Want You To Know” and will be out on Monday. Fans did not pay much attention to the interview, because they were mesmerized by the bizarre pictures.
One asked: Why did they make her look like a 12-year-old in hooker pants? Another stated that the photospread is very disturbing and confusing. Selena Gomez did not respond to the controversy; instead, she posted an adorable picture of herself as a toddler at a beauty pageant.
