Scott Stapp: Obama Diss Made Me Homeless

Scott Stapp says Obama is responsible for him being broke and homeless. The former lead singer of rock band, Creed, made the shocking accusation during a radio interview in Canada.

President Obama is behind Scott Stapp‘s fall from grace, at least that is what he thinks. Stapp and his band Creed first rose to fame in the 1990s, but things have not been rosy in recent years.

The group more or less split in 2012 and stopped touring. Their last album, Full Circle, was released in 2009. It only delivered minor hits and could not even reach gold status (less than 500,000 copies sold) in the U.S.

This was a big change for Creed, the band’s three previous albums, were all certified platinum (sales in excess of 1,000,000) at least six times. Additionally, Stapp’s two solo releases never lived up to his potential.

All of this musical decline lead to the release of a video journal this week, in which the singer says he has lost everything, and is now broke and homeless.

The 15-minute video has gone viral and brought Stapp back to the spotlight. He is using the attention to make claims that are not backed by facts.

Scott Stapp endorsed Obama in 2008, but decided not to back his reelection campaign in 2012. Celebrities like him were in high demand on Conservative media outlets in 2012 because they helped illustrate how Obama was a big disappointment.

So, he was invited to Fox & Friends on Fox News for an interview, where he talked about his faith and no longer supporting Obama. All of this happened, 35 days before Americans went to the polls and reelected Obama in 2012.

Stapp now claims that the IRS decided to audit his finances about two months after the interview. The 41-year-old artist told Roz and Mocha Show on KISS 92.5 Toronto, Thursday morning:

“I believe the IRS situation is definitely a result of me expressing my dissatisfaction with President Obama. Absolutely, 100 percent.”

It needs to be said that Stapp’s second wife, Jaclyn Nesheiwat, a former model has filed for divorce, earlier this month. Nesheiwat is also trying to get her estranged husband committed. In divorce papers obtained by MailOnline, she claims that he is delusional and tried to kill her. Stapp has three children and he has pledged to them in his video journal that he is currently sober.

  1. Well, if all his filings for his tax returns were true and accurate, meaning he never cheated, then what does he have to worry about? There shouldn’t be any problems right? Or perhaps, did they somehow figure out, your spending was more than you claimed you were earning?
