Ryan Gosling will soon become a father. The Canadian movie star and his partner Eva Mendes are expecting their first child that will be born later this year. The couple has been together since 2011. Eva Mendes pregnant is a piece of news that surprised many fans since the Girl in Progress actress is not a big fan of commitment.
For months the gossip world pushed a breakup storyline when it comes to Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling since they were last spotted together publicly in November. The rumors could not have been further from the truth since Eva Mendes is said to be seven months pregnant. Which means that the baby could be here before summer ends.
In February, reports surfaced stating that Mendes told TSA agents at LAX airport that she was avoiding a body scan because she is pregnant. Back then, her representative Stephen Huvane rushed to deny the whole thing. It’s now clear that he did not know or he was masking the truth.
Eva Mendes has always been vocal about not wanting children or getting married but it seems that Ryan Gosling was able to convince her otherwise. The future parents worked together on 2013’s The Place Beyond the Pines. Eva Mendes has always praised the future father of her child as a brilliant actor who inspires her creatively. They also collaborated on Ryan Gosling’s directorial debut Lost River that premiered at the Cannes film festival in May.
The science fiction like movie failed to impress the demanding Cannes audience who booed the feature. This was enough to discourage the distributor of the project from moving forward with it. Warner Bros. Pictures is currently trying to sell it to another movie studio. Therefore the much hyped Gosling start as a director does not have a release date. It is not even clear if his numerous fans will get to see Lost River anytime in the near future.
Eva Mendes pregnancy is probably more than enough to lift Ryan Gosling’s spirit and make him forget about his problems as a filmmaker. Congrats to the future parents!
