Russell Crowe will reconcile and live happily ever after with estranged wife, Danielle Spencer, even if it is the last thing he does.

In a series of interviews conducted by the 3:10 to Yuma star, he has made it clear that Australian actress and singer/songwriter Danielle Spencer is the love of his life and he will find a way for them to get back together.

Crowe and Spencer dated on and off between 1989 while filming The Crossing to 2001. The pair wed on April 7, 2003 in Nana Glen, New South Wales, had two sons – Charles Spencer Crowe and Tennyson Spencer Crowe.

And in October 2012, it was revealed that Crowe and Spencer had separated. Three years have gone by, and the former couple has never filed for divorce and the American Gangster star told Charlie Rose on CBS’ This Morning, that he is still connected to his wife.

Crowe, who sometimes wears his wedding band, (Spencer no longer wears her ring and is rumored to be dating another man), said:

“I was so proud to wear that ring, Charlie. I don’t feel balanced. To this day everything I do is still connected to that. We haven’t done the deal yet. I’m a very persistent person, you never know.”

The A Beautiful Mind actor went on to explain he is relentless and strongly believes that she will fall for his charms sooner than later. Russell Crowe shared:

“I didn’t get married to get divorced. Once I commit to something, I stick with it, so you never know.”

In that same interview, Crowe blamed his obsession with sports for his failed marriage. Crowe, who is the co-owner of the South Sydney Rabbitohs, an Australian National Rugby League team, explained:

“The rugby ended up not being a bad business. No, it’s not a bad business decision at all. But it’s taken a lot of work, and it’s probably cost me a marriage. That’s what happened… It took a lot of work, man, you know? It took a lot of work, and I already had an extremely busy schedule.”

Indeed, if Crowe is seriously hoping ever to reconcile with his wife, he may need to pull back and hire someone to take over the South Sydney Rabbitohs. In the past years, Crowed has given a great amount of time, money, and sweat to make the team a success.

The Body of Lies and Robin Hood star paid about $3 million to get the team, and helped to organize a match in Florida. He personally negotiated deals with media and entertainment companies like Fox, Channel Nine, Channel Seven, ANZ Stadium, betting giant Luxbet and V8 Supercars.

Russell Crowe’s hope to reconcile with his wife may be dashed by rumors she is dating celebrity gardener Jamie Durie. A source claimed that the pair was spotted getting very cozy at a Melbourne Cup after-party on the Emerson Rooftop few months ago.

The 45-year-old mother of two has since denied the rumors saying that they are just friends.

  1. My thoughts are I always hope married couples can re-ignite their desires for one another following a breakdown in the marriage. So, I wish him success in his quest to win back his wife. I hope she is not involved with someone else since she has not earned a legal divorce. I also hope Mr. Crowe is true to his marital vows.
