Raven-Symone Makes TV Comeback On ‘Empire’: Will Raven-Symoné Join The Hit Show?

Raven-Symoné (Raven Symone) is back and she is bringing the drama to Empire. This week, Raven-Symoné Christina Pearman, who last appeared on State of Georgia in 2011, made a big return to the little screen in the role of Olivia in the hit FOX series Empire. Raven-Symoné plays Jamal’s (Jussie Smollett) baby mama who is out for blood and money. Few years ago, it was rumored that Raven-Symoné and Jussie Smollett had a baby together.

Raven-Symoné (Raven Symone) is bringing real and fake scandal to Empire. On Wednesday night, Raven-Symoné staged a television comeback that many are calling epic.

Miss Raven-Symoné Christina Pearman, who is famous for playing the role of the adorable Olivia Kendall in The Cosby Show, last appeared on TV in 2011 in the short-lived ABC Family comedy State of Georgia. In 2013, she made a small appearance in an episode of See Dad Run on Nick at Nite.

The 29-year-old star took on the role of Olivia, (yes just like on The Cosby Show), a back-up singer, who was paid by Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) to pretend to be Jamal’s (Jussie Smollett) girlfriend.

Lucious can not accept the fact that his son Jamal is gay and would do anything to make him straight – well at least have the world believing that he is straight. Raven-Symoné appeared at the end of the episode and delivered some real baby-mama drama.

She dropped the bombshell that the very gay Jamal fathered her little girl who is about 5 years of age. Now, this is where reality meets fiction. About 5 years ago, rumors claimed that Jussie Smollett and Raven-Symoné, who are great friends in real life, had a baby girl together.

The pair never confirmed nor denied the story. Both Raven-Symoné and Smollett, who grew up in the spotlight, have allegedly decided to raise the child away from the media. Now back to Empire. The That’s So Raven actress is set to appear in at least one more episode, but if things go well, we might be seeing more of her.

Raven-Symoné, who claims to be a retiree, (she started working at the age of 3), told Vulture:

“That’s up to the producers. Hopefully, my job was done well and the audience and supporters of Empire enjoy the story that she brings. In my honest opinion, being a baby mama, you always got somethin’ [in store]. So, we’ll see.”

Raven-Symoné also gave few details about the Olivia-Luscious relationship:

“I think that the Lyons family, in truth, are always locked-in on [hating each other]. So, maybe that’s about to happen — and maybe it’s about to happen in a lot of ways — I can’t tell you, but I will say it is very juicy information about what comes out and, also, what happens between Lucious, Olivia, Jamal, and Cookie. You get to see what a man will do in order to make something around him look more familiar. It’s interesting to know that [Lucious] would rather lose his child than just accept him as he is. That’s not abnormal in our day and age, is it? You’d think that us having Instagram and Twitter and actually being as progressive as we think we are — we still can’t accept people for who they are naturally.”

Raven-Symoné also spoke about her sexuality, her new album and her new gig on the Disney channel in this interview.
