A special Randy Savage Hall of Fame tribute has moved his fans and fellow wrestlers. It is hard to forget that deep, raspy voice and the Slim Jim ads.

However, it is even more difficult to forget those bright costumes/shades, but for those who can’t remember or did not get the chance to know the amazing “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan and Lanny Poffo brought it all back.

Saturday night, SAP Center in San Jose, California was packed for the WWE 2015 Hall of Fame ceremony. Many iconic wrestlers were inducted into the Hall Of Fame, including the late “Macho Man” Randy Savage whose real name was Randy Mario Poffo.

“Macho Man” Randy Savage began his career in 1973 and retired in 2005. During the 32 long years he was with the WWF and WCW, he made fans say “Oooh yeah!” too many times to count, won 20 championships and earned the title of the greatest champion of all time.

In 2011, at the age of 58, Randy Savage died in Florida in a car crash after encountering heart issues. Hulk Hogan spoke about Randy Savage during the Hall of Fame induction and once more gave him credit for bringing “a higher level of credibility to the federation through his amazing in-ring performances and passion.”

During the “Macho Man” Randy Savage Hall of Fame tribute, Hulk Hogan said that his old friend was always intense and deep – when he was sailing, during practice and especially during performances. Hogan shared a hilarious story that occurred when they were tag team.

He explained that to make sure that he delivered an exceptional performance, Savage kept shoving him in the face. Hogan shared:

“I realized that he was making me, a better man, a better performer, I can’t explain, …. Randy would always push you way beyond to a place you were not even ready to go, he was that intense, he created that much energy, he just made you better.”

“Macho Man” Randy Savage’s brother, Lanny Poffo, also delivered an emotional yet joyous at time speech about the icon. Kevin Nash aka Diesel, Rikishi, and Arnold Schwarzenegger were also inducted into the Hall of Fame.
