Prince Harry Breaks ‘No Selfie Rule’ In Classy Way

Rules are meant to be broken, which is what Prince Harry did with his “no selfie rule.” While visiting Australia and New Zealand, Prince Harry accepted to snap few selfies with locals and government workers – just to make them happy.

A selfie is “a photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically one taken with a smartphone or webcam and shared via social media.”
Experts say that occasional selfies are acceptable and even normal, but posting a new picture of yourself every day is not necessary or healthy.

While some people like Kim Kardashian, might be addicted to taking self-portraits and even go as far as publishing an entire coffee table book with nothing but selfies, Prince Harry has made it abundantly clear that he hates them.

Briton’s most eligible bachelor and serial dater has even created a “no selfie rule” when he attends public functions. However, while touring Australia and New Zealand earlier this month, Prince Harry ditched his rule for a group of young people who greeted him at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.

Talking to a 14-year-old boy named Finlay Martin, Prince Harry explained:

“He said he didn’t do selfies but he would do this one but not look at the camera. I was actually more excited than I thought I would be.”

He went on to snap pictures with numerous government officials and locals who were thrilled to see him in their country. Not too long ago, Harry was asked why he disliked selfies, he replied by saying:

“No, I hate selfies. Seriously, you need to get out of it (the habit), I know you’re young, selfies are bad.Just take a normal photograph!”

It is rumored that Harry imposed the rule because his on-and-off girlfriend, Cressida Bonas, hates photographers. Yesterday, Michelle Obama and her daughters had tea with Prince Harry at Kensington Palace where they spoke about vets.
