A man whose real name is Freddie Alexander Smoke III, was arrested in his Sacramento home on Friday for starting a wildfire in a forest located in Shasta County in Northern California.
The 37-year-old man was driving his trunk loaded with soil additives to his illegal marijuana farm and had an accident.
Mr Smoke’s vehicle’ exhaust ignited a fire on the dry grass after driving off Roaring Creek and Sargent roads.
The man made disaster obliterated 2,930 acres of land according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
While no one was hurt, hundreds of residents in 50 homes in Ono were evacuated and 6 buildings were incinerated during the fire.
Due to dry weather, firefighters believe it will take one week to contain the fire.
Freddie Alexander Smoke III who is a fan of Nicki Minaj and president Barack Obama according to his Facebook page was arrested on suspicion of marijuana farming, throwing burning materials and starting a wildfire.
The 180 cannabis plants on his farm were seized by the Shasta County Marijuana Eradication Team.
Smoke who appears to be the father of two young children is currently in a cell at the Shasta County jail and his bond has not been set.
