yeah first it said it was busy, then it said it was a bad request, and then it said the connection is broken. I also thought there was something wrong with my internet connection and have messing with it all day. I am glad to see these messages because I was getting quite frustrated.

The site is back down again…..1:13pm EST. It was down for over 16 hours yesterday and once again has gone down again about the same time it did yesterday. This site is not a good and stable site. Not only is it down an aweful lot you start seeing the same fakes on there over and over again. This site is not very good in its selection and people who have been screened to be real…and not spammers. Good luck..but I am off the site as of today for good.
Btw, ignore that guy’s CBC link referring to the power outage in Vancouver. He failed to notice the date on the article… July 14, 2008! Duh.

Though I’m sure there are those that do sit on a computer all day, there are also those of us that do go out and meet people in addition to being on POF. Double your chances of making a connection.
As for the financial end of things, the guy has already started a sort of subscription service where the benefit of paying is you get a gold seal on your profile, get to customize it, etc… so I don’t believe that money is the issue at the moment because I’ve seen tons of people that are paying. Not to mention the ad revenue he’s getting for the links all over the place (pay per clicks and banner ads).
Everybody just chill. The site will be back, and your sweethearts will still be there. If they’re not, well there’s Plenty of Fish in the sea.

For those of you that are a little skeptic of the site some of us don’t like going to bars where the regs likes to sleep around with each other. Also for some of us we aren’t around places where we can “meet” people. So i think dating sites are great. Its all good. Go read a book or something and it should be back on before you know it. The site owner said he got a call today from a representative from Microsoft. Basically they gave him an “offer he couldn’t refuse” if your old enough to remember when that phrase was popular.
Well he tried to play hardball with the numbers, and two thugs in suits showed up at his apartment, worked him over, and then smashed his server. Okay so being high tech does not mean high ethics. So now while he’s at the E.R wondering if it will be safe to go back to his apartment the entire lonely English speaking world waits for POF to be rebuilt.
