These are the crazy headlines floating on some websites,well they are not true.Phil Mickelson was indeed accused of cheating but only with an old golf club.The golfer used an old Ping wedge with bigger grooves,this put him ahead of the competition.
Other golfers are unhappy about what Mickelson did although technically it is not cheating,because the rules do not say anything about it.
Golfer Scott McCarron went really hard after Phil Mickelson, stating:
“It’s cheating, and I’m appalled Phil has put it in play…all those guys should be ashamed of themselves for doing that. As one of our premier players, (Mickelson) should be one of the guys who steps up and says this is wrong.”
This is where the Phil Mickelson cheating charges came from and it has nothing to do with a sex scandal.
