Peter King Running President: King Wants To Block Ted Cruz From Getting GOP Nomination In 2016

Peter King running for president in order to prevent other Republicans from winning the 2016 election. In numerous interviews, Congressman Peter King from New York has confirmed that his main reason for entering the presidential race is to serve as an obstacle to conservatives like Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Rand Paul.

Peter King running president

Peter King running for president not because he thinks he can make it to the White House, but because he wants to stop several Republicans from becoming the most powerful leader in the world.

For over two years now, Mr Peter Thomas King, who is the U.S. Representative for New York’s 2nd congressional district, has been conducting interviews where he revealed that he has plans to run for president in 2016.

At the age of 71, without many backers, no committees and a very busy schedule, King is fully aware that he has little chance to replace Barack Obama in the oval office, but he is fine with that.

Peter King’s decision to run for president is based on his hatred for fellow Republicans like Ted Cruz from Texas, Marco Rubio who represents Florida and United States Senator for Kentucky Rand Paul.

The Catholic father of two, who is anti-Tea Party, pro-immigration, and strong on national security, explained:

“I am not kidding anyone. My main thing first of all is to take advantage of the opportunity with my name being mentioned to get out and speak about issues I care about, and secondly to make sure that the Rand Paul and Ted Cruz types don’t take over the Republican Party.”

Peter King, who has served in the United States House of Representatives since 1993, has no plans to get a staff nor a campaign manager because he is too busy representing New Yorkers and being a member of the Financial Services Committee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

He has cooked up a clever plan to become the GOP nominee – shine in the debates like Herman Cain and Michelle Bachmann did in 2012 to attract donors and voters during the bloody primary. King, who is eager to go face to face with his very close friend Hillary Clinton, said:

“My ideal situation is to be part of the debate and if I see that there is support building and others drop out, and there is a real opening and people who share my views come forward with funding.”

Peter King does not think Jeb Bush and Chris Christie are great political figures, but he believes that anyone is better than Cruz. Peter King is running for president, not to win, but to make a statement about his political party.

What are your thoughts on his plans?

  1. Pamplona Spain has the festival of San Fermin, or the Running of the Bulls that puts that city on the world map. The place to be… when that is happening.
Looks like the U.S. wants something similar every four years in the primary race for the GOP nomination for president. Shall we call it ‘Festival of El Perdedor’, which in Spanish means the festival of the loser, (ala Bob Dole, John McCain, Mitt Romney etc.) or shall we call it ‘the Running of the RINOs’?
So low experienced , conservative hating, Tea Party loathing Rep. Peter King wants to throw himself into the race. Really, for which party? He darn well doesn’t represent the Republican voter base, because he alienates us every chance he gets, and does it with gusto. Perhaps funding will come from the far left that need more RINO’s to try and keep a conservative from getting the nomination.
Certainly a herd of RINO’s like Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, and Peter King would indeed be a dangerous stampede to be in.
But like in Pamplona, the people root for the best brave person to win the race unmolested by the bulls. I think that is what the American GOP should root for, is the very best brave American to win the race unmolested by all the RINO’s.
Who says that… I say that. And a good day to all!

  2. I guess Mr. King must believe they have enough support to possibly be the nominee or he wouldn’t bother. That said, why would he want to be against the party? If more people want them than someone who’s friends with liberals and pro-government candidates, exactly what kind of a republican is he? Sounds like he is a very bitter man with little if any joy in his life that wants to cause problems even within his own party. He’s more “sportsman” -like to people who are against our constitution, such as the socialists, democrats and communists, than he is to people who just want to enforce our laws and constitution as it was written.

Matthew 7:18-20 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

Prayer is the only thing that cand drive out some demons.

Mark 9:25-29 When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.” The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.” But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up. After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” He replied, “This kind can come out only by prayer.”

  3. For years the conservative vote has been split by having numerous candidates competing against each other–witness 2012 with Bachman, Gingrich, Santorum, Cain on one side and Mitt Romney by himself on the other. The lone RINO prevailed while letting the conservatives fund-out and leave.

If King wants to split the RINO vote up like that I for one am very much in favor.

The outcome may be the opposite of what he desires, however!

  4. Peter King and the rest of his establishment buddies is exactly what is wrong with the Republican Party today. We’ve tried the Bob Doles, John McCains, Mitt Romneys, Bushes, and Christies and what does it get us? Absolutely nothing but defeat. If the Republicans ever expect to win the White House again they had better start looking at Cruz, Rubio, Paul, Scott Walker or any of the other good Conservatives out there. Most Conservatives I know are sick and tired of the direction John Boehner and Mitch McConnel are taking our Party. The best thing Mr. King can do is stop interfering and get the heck out of the way and let the system work.

  5. Oh, this guy is a genius with a capital J. Doesn’t expect to win, just wants to frig up the other guy. Jenius.
I’d like to play poker against him. I can picture it…
King: “I’ve got nothing, but I’m gonna raise just to make you fold”.

He might be able to garner some support in his own district, or at least Wolf and maybe his wife, but that won’t get him far into the primary season. Like Dave in Alabama said, let him split the RINO vote and maybe we’ll finally get a real conservative in there for a change. Then once Ted Cruz is in the Whitehouse, he can show his appreciation for King’s efforts by renaming some building in DC after him. Maybe the “Peter King Memorial Portapotty”

  6. Peter King is a Warmongering establishment statist Neocon scumbag! The only candidate in the republican primary for president that I am voting for is Rand Paul! If the republican party cheats against Rand like they did his father I will be voting for the Libertarian candidate for president!

  7. Maybe his terrorist pals in the IRA will send him money. He’s sent enough to them over the years.

  8. baghdadi for potus 2016: one gop coc*suker vs. three teeebagarz cochuckers. go baghdadi go.

  9. Ted Cruz ?!?!… that should be the least of his worries. I assume he only wants to “block” Ted Cruz from “party take over” in the political sense and NOT because he’s afraid he’ll get the GOP nod as a presidential candidate… because Senator Cruz is not eligible to become president… He was born in CANADA !!
And as a Southerner I am naturally distrustful of these politicos from New York, California, New Jersey, Illinois (I.E. Chicago) and the New England area who feel the rest of the country should be run the way THEIR districts are (I.E. over taxed, over policed, over governed, over valued properties, unionized w/ industry leaving and new ones UNABLE to get started because of the previous mentioned, blah blah blah…)….
VOTE LIBERTARIAN !!! It’s the ONLY political party that makes any sense to me anymore.

  10. Peter King is precisely what is wrong with the Republican Party today. He should switch to democrat. This is nothing more than a personal vendetta on his part because he and other GOP mainstream fat cats are not interested in what is good for the nation, but what is good for the power brokers. Would not surprise me one bit to learn that he has reeived campaign contributions from George Soros.

  11. Interesting. But it is way too late for this – the name and fame of Jeb Bush is going to make him the nominee. Republicans need someone with major national recognition to effectively challenge Hillary, and none of their other prospects even comes close. Next prez – Clinton or Bush – those, for better or for worse, will be our choices.

  12. This guy is nothing more than a political hack that thinks he has more influence than he actually has. All he will do is split the rino votes and that is great. He will have no effect on the conservative voters what so ever.

  13. I have been an advocate of Rep. King for years as I have observed him on many CNN interviews. I relly wish he would run for president…He had been on my watch list for the past 2 years!
