As less people are interested in paying for an online dating service with other services, like Facebook and MySpace being free, Plenty Of Fish has been able to wrap up a large portion of the market and has surpassed other popular sites like eHarmony.
However, the site was giving its users a lot of problems on Monday morning, and was giving most who tried to logon an error. The site said that there was a “server Error in “/” Application.” The company soon announced that they were working on getting the site back up and working, and believed that they may have identified the problem.
As of 1 PM Eastern, the site was still down. It is apparent that the site is having a problem connected to the database, and it is not currently clear when the site will be back up and operational. The company does not have a huge staff behind the site, so it may take a bit longer than you would think.
