Slade Heathcott Yankees – Slade Heathcott is making waves in the media after he was selected by the New York Yankees in 2009 First-Year Player Draft aka MLB Amateur draft. Slade Heathcott is a 6’1″, 196 lb hitter from Texas High School in Texarkana, TX and is considered as one of the greatest in his school.Real Baseball Intelligence has more infos on Heathcott,saying:
He hits to all fields and has plus power. His arm strength might be his biggest strength, however. He has been known to hit 95 mph. He’s an above-average runner with great instincts on the bases and can play all three outfield positions.
Heathcott had surgery in November, but is doing very well and is ready to play.
