Paris Hilton and Carl’s Jr. are back at it with a new commercial for the fast-food restaurant chain that appeared online on Friday. Hilton who loved working on the new ad started posting on Instagram on Thursday hyping her steamy return as a face for the company.

The more things change, the more they remain the same. We are in 2014, Paris Hilton is wearing a hot bikini promoting burgers like it was 2005. That year, the reality TV legend joined Carl’s Jr. for a Super Bowl commercial called “I Love Paris” that still has people talking to this day.

Nine years later Paris slips back in the same bikini that made her a famous spokesperson for Carl’s Jr. and proves to the world that she still has it. The new ad is titled “I Love Texas.” This time around the aspiring singer had to share the spotlight with model Hannah Ferguson who was recently featured in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue where she was named a rookie.

Ferguson lives in New York City but she is originally from Texas, this probably explains the title of the new ad.

Paris Hilton’s new Carl’s Jr. commercial got a lot of attention and her catchphrase “that’s hot” came to a lot of people’s minds after seeing it. Is Paris coming back as one of the faces of Carl’s Jr. or was this just a clin d’œil to the old days? It could also be seen as Hilton passing the torch to a new generation of hot young women in bikini promoting burgers.

No matter where Carl’s Jr. decides to take all of this, it was a friendly reminder that in her very own way Paris Hilton was a trendsetter and trailblazer. Paris was doing Instagram and Twitter when they did not even exist. She paved the way for today’s reality TV stars and she played a big part in putting Kim Kardashian on the map.

Carl’s Jr. tried to build on the “I Love Paris” formula with ladies like Kim Kardashian, Kate Upton, Padma Lakshmi and Nina Agdal with some success but none of them reached Hilton’s marketing height.

This could explain why they called her back almost a decade later.
