A “My 600 Pound Life” premiere update has fans of the TLC hit show all excited. On Tuesday, the network has revealed the premiere date of season 3 of My 600-lb Life and the new cast looks quite promising.

The season 3 premiere of “My 600 Pound Life” is scheduled for January 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. What can followers of the program expect?

First, they will get detailed updates on those who took part in season 2, this will then be followed by the introduction of the 8 new participants who are trying to change the course of their lives for the better.

Earlier today, we posted information about the new cast. It will include, Oregon’s native, Amber, who is 24 years old, lives with her parents and boyfriend; she weighs 660 lbs. and wants to regain control of her life.

37-year-old Susan is from Texas, lives with her mom, who also takes care of her. She is getting close to 660 lbs. and thinks it is time to dump her old ways.

50-year-old Pauline has gained 200 pounds since her divorce. At 700 lbs., she is hopeful that she can have an active life once again.

Missouri’s Bettie Jo weighs 700 lbs. at age 24 and she is terrified of the future. The young woman is eying a better tomorrow with her husband.

Laura, 40, wants to fix her life before it is too late. She no longer wants to live with regrets and is taking action to reshape everything.

At 42 and 596 lbs., Angel, from Kerville, Texas just wants to lead a healthier and more active life.

Charity, 38, is from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This woman was taken advantage of by others in her life and found refuge in food. She no longer wants to be a burden for her family at 787 lbs.

Tennessee’s Joe, 31, is the heaviest cast member of the new season, weighing 802 pounds. He is hoping that the surgery will make it possible for him to fulfill his dreams.

The “My 600 Pound Life” premiere will also share updates on past participants. Fans will learn for example that James, 39, has found love after losing 350 pounds. He previously weighed 750 lbs.

Chuck, 46, also a season 2 cast member, has renewed his vows with wife, Nissa, after losing 420 lbs. from his previous 700-pound body.
