Miss India Detained At Airport? Hasleen Kaur Slams ‘Baseless’ Reports – Over the weekend news broke that Hasleen Kaur, Pantaloons Femina Miss India-Earth 2011 was detained by customs and immigration officials in Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport while returning from Thailand for carrying luxury goods such as purses and cosmetics that she failed to declare.
Reports claimed that the gay activist had over 190,000 rupees or USD $3,620 worth of goods in her possession when she was arrested.
It appears that the entire or at least a big portion of the story may have been fabricated, the controversial beauty queen took to Twitter to deny the claims. She tweeted:
“I would like to make it clear that the article circulating in the media is baseless and a rumour.”
She went on the clarify the many errors the vicious rumor contained without really explaining what occurred during her trip:
” I landed back to our country on Friday night and I have landed in Delhi, not Mumbai. Secondly, I was coming from Manila, not Thailand.”
The environmental activist is a student who has one foot in Bollywood and this wild story might just help her get her big break in Hollywood.
