Country star Miranda Lambert has canceled her appearance at the Calgary Stampede that was scheduled for Thursday. Health reasons have sidelined the “All Kinds of Kinds” singer. In a statement posted on the 31-year-old diva’s website, she shared:

“I can’t believe this is happening. I am sure most of you heard the news about the show in Calgary having to be rescheduled due to my vocal issues. Thanks for all your posts and well wishes, I promise I will do everything to get better quickly!”

Lambert hopes that after resolving the issues with her vocal cords, she will be able to make it up to her Canadian fans. She adds:

“I am so sorry that I can’t be at Stampede this week, but I’ll be back in Calgary just as soon as I can for all of my Stampede fans.”

Paul Rosenberg, the Chief Operating Officer for Calgary Stampede, says that supporters should hold on to their tickets for a rescheduled show. He explains:

“We understand that this news is disappointing for fans. We will know more about rescheduling the concert later; in the meantime, we hope that fans use their tickets for admission to Stampede and enjoy all that we have to offer- including live country music at Nashville North.”

The “Mama’s Broken Heart” artist is set to perform at the North Dakota State Fair on July 17 and at the Cheyenne Frontier Days in Cheyenne, Wyoming on July 18.

In late June, Lambert released her new single, “Smokin’ and Drinkin.'” The track is taken from her 2014 album, Platinum. Blake Shelton‘s wife is not the only music star that was sidelined by health problems in recent weeks. Sam Smith and Meghan Trainor had to get surgery on their vocal cords.
