19 Kids And Counting is off the air, and the world can thank Josh Duggar for that. TLC decided to pull the reality show off the air after it was revealed that Josh Duggar molested several girls including his sisters. Mike Huckabee has stepped out to defend the Duggar clan.
19 Kids And Counting is off the air amidst revelation that Josh Duggar molested multiple girls. Not happy with TLC’s decision Mike Huckabee came out to support the Duggar family.
The show has been a gold mine for TLC since 2008, with countless specials and repeated marathons every year, but on Friday, for the very first time, 19 Kids And Counting was yanked off the air.
As an episode of 19 Kids And Counting was being broadcast, news broke that Josh Duggar had sexually molested five girls when he was a teenager. About 12 years ago, Duggar fondled the breasts and touched vaginas of minors as they slept in the Duggar home.
Some of the girls he abused were his own sisters. It was revealed that when Jim Bob Duggar learned of the abuse in 2006, he contacted Jim Hutchens, a police officer and friend of the family, (and later was revealed to be a child molester himself), who took zero legal action.
Instead, Josh Duggar met with the pastor of his church who scolded him for his actions. Josh Duggar, who is no longer part of 19 Kids And Counting, issued an apology that read:
“Twelve years ago, as a young teenager I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret. I hurt others, including my family and close friends.”
After yanking the show off the air, TLC released a statement, it explained:
“Effective immediately, TLC has pulled all episodes of 19 Kids and Counting currently from the air. We are deeply saddened and troubled by this heartbreaking situation, and our thoughts and prayers are with the family and victims at this difficult time.”
Josh Duggar has a defender, Mike Huckabee. Huckabee, who is running for president, wants the world to forgive Duggar based on the premise that he was young and dumb. Via Facebook, Huckabee shared:
“Josh’s actions when he was an underage teen are as he described them himself, ‘inexcusable,’ but that doesn’t mean ‘unforgivable.’ Being a minor means that one’s judgment is not mature.Good people make mistakes and do regrettable and even disgusting things.”

I think he should be punished either way and the girls might be older they will never forget. Did the girls get counseling? Or was it just precious Josh? They are saying its okay what he did and he got away with it. I am sorry he should have to register as a sex offender. In the real world outside of television this is what happens. If you are famous or not. I guess it helps when you have money the problem just go away. These innocent children were the victims and the Duggars brushed it under the rug.

I do believe that at some point he will have to answer to the lord. I am also a firm believer in karma and this is karma setting things right. He knew what he was doing was wrong and any other child molester has to face public scrutiny. Why should he be any different?

I think they brought this downfall on themselves. Every morning I would go on to work and I would see some article about the Duggars and something about the Kardashians. Suddenly it was like the Duggars wanted to beat out the Kardashians. I did not know what their premise was except having sex and making babies, but if religion was their thing I was like what religion allows you to be on-line or in the news all of the time. Well, they got what they deserve. Fame lets the secrets out of the bag. Now we will see if TLC backs child molesters or they decide who is worthy as a child molester (they canceled Honey Boo-Boo because of her association), why should the Duggars be any different. They are worse. They covered it up. Forgiveness for what…sweeping breaking the law under the rug to keep their show going. They are only answering for it now because somebody found out.

I’m sorry. From the start I knew there was something strange about the way the girls acted— like in a daze or something…or like they were programmed -with a flat effect to their personalities. Get away from being programmed!
I do believe he was a young teen himself, I didn’t know a young teen would have to register as a sex offender. I do agree with pulling Josh from the show, but not to take the show off the air. Just maybe another network will put them back on. No one is made to watch it, everyone doesn’t have to suffer because of one family member. also touching is not sexual molestation. I call it being curious at such a young age.

I think it is weird how they get the small children involved, in the
older kids relationships, and new babies. They are a sick bunch of people. I think, Jim Bob drugs Michele, she is just to happy for having
19 kids.
Sexual molestation is based on the slightest touch on your body that is considered your private parts. I believe that if you were ever touched in this way you would feel violated especially at a young age. You are taught to know the difference between good or bad, right or wrong. Too often the victim blames their self for allowing this to happen to them but they are not the perpetrator who started this sexual misconduct. The victims live with this post traumatic depression for the rest of their lives and are afraid & embarrassed to speak out against the perpetrator. And this perpetrator continues to live a normal life without any consequences where it happen in their teens or today it’s a sexual act that is criminal on an innocence person.
How did this story break? I very much doubt that Duggar went public with this on his own. More likely, his public confession was to get in front of the story he knew someone else was about blow the whistle on, if you’ll pardon the expression. And yes, the show should be yanked, because the father and other family members were complicit in sweeping it under the rug. Sponsors are fleeing like rats off a sinking ship – always a tell.
I read somewhere that a letter was written by someone who knew of the incident and was in a book they loaned to a friend of the family.
I feel sad this has happened. What more punishment could someone have then to face his failures to God and millions of people. The show was based on faith, and I believe God is forgiving Josh. I hope the girls and their families too will forgive him. We are so quick to judge, but last I knew, the Lord teaches us to forgive as he forgives us. I wish the show was still on. I really enjoyed it . I think Josh is a good man, that has a horrible past to live with as much as the girls do.
