It was the Meg Ryan show in France this week. Ryan dazzled at a fashion show in Paris in a body-hugging dress. When not stealing the spotlight at the Schiaparelli Show, the talented actress is hard at work on a new movie due out later this year.
A fashion event turned into the Meg Ryan show in Paris on Monday. Dressed in a tight black dress with a high slit, Ryan was the queen of the red carpet at the Schiaparelli Show held during Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2015/2016 in Paris, France.
For the rare appearance, Ryan accessorized her black dress with a heavy gold bracelet, a black and gold clutch and strappy stilettos. Her iconic short wavy bob was kept simple yet elegant.
Meg Ryan had a front-row seat at the fashion show with several other famous faces including Alice Eve, Game of Thrones star Carice Van Houten, Olivia Palermo, and editor-in-chief of Vogue Anna Wintour.
The 53-year-old stunning actress has been dating John Mellencamp for several years now. The pair split in October 2014 because they were unable to agree on a location to call home. A source said at the time:
“There were disagreements over style of life and logistical problems which clouded their relationship. But there is no doubt that he cares for her a great deal.”
They have since been reunited, and the love is going strong. Meg Ryan’s love life is going well, so is her career, she is teaming up with her Sleepless in Seattle co-star Tom Hanks for a new film called Ithaca.
Not only will she star in the flick, she will also be making her big directorial debut. Sam Shepard, Melanie Griffith, and Ryan’s son, Jack Quaid, will also be starring in the film.
Ithaca is based on the 1943 novel, The Human Comedy by William Saroyan, which focuses on a family living in Ithaca, California during World War II. More on the story below:
The family is the Macauley’s—a mother, sister, and three brothers whose struggles and dreams reflect those of America’s second-generation immigrants…In particular, fourteen-year-old Homer, determined to become one of the fastest telegraph messengers in the West, finds himself caught between reality and illusion as delivering his messages of wartime death, love, and money brings him face-to-face with human emotion at its most naked and raw.
