Mayra Rosales Gets ‘Too Big To Kill’ Verdict In Nephew Murder

Mayra Rosales Gets ‘Too Big To Kill’ Verdict In Nephew Murder – Her weight was not the weapon used to commit the crime.
The bizarre case involving an morbidly obese woman named Mayra Rosales has finally come to an end with the judge declaring that she was too fat to have killed her two-year-old nephew Eliseo Jr. who died in March of 2008.
Originally the 31-year old Texan confessed to accidentally killing the toddler who she was babysitting after slipping, falling on him and crushing him to death.
But her lawyers were able to prove that Mayra Rosales who weights over 1,000-lb could not lift up her arms and hit the child after autopsy revealed that he died due to a blow on the head.
Eventually Rosales told authorities that her sister, Eliseo’s mother Jaime killed her son after hitting the kid with a hair brush in the head seeing that he refused to eat breakfast.
She went on to explain that she lied in order to protect her sister whom she loves and took her in when she was in dire need of medical help.
A man named also Edward Ates tried to throw his weight on a case in Florida but was found guilty.
Edward Ates was jailed for killing his son-in-law Paul Duncsak after trying to convince the jury that he was too fat in 2006 when he weighed 285 pounds at the time of the murder.
The “too fat to kill” theory does not always work.
