Mariah Carey Tweets 1997 Photo As 2014 Selfie

Mariah Carey tweets 1997 photo as 2014, drama ensues. Mariah Carey has just been caught by the internet police tweeting a 1997 photo that she attempted to pass for a 2014 selfie that she took with her twins Moroccan and Monroe. People were quick to point out that the Mariah Carey’s 1997 ‘selfie’ was featured on the The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Over the weekend Mariah Carey took the social network website Twitter where she shared a series of pictures of herself and her three-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe.

In the photos the kids could be seen looking happy, playing in a hot tub, riding toy cars and having fun.

She also posted one photo of herself wearing a simple white tank top laying on a bed with a huge smile on her face.

The diva captioned the handful of photos:

“quality time with #dembabies.. so much happiness!!”

Within minutes Mariah Carey received dozens of harsh comments for trying to fool her Twitter followers.

While the snaphots of the toddlers were recent, the picture of Mariah was taken in 1997 when she was 27 years old.

One of her supporters known as Lambs was quick to point out that the old photo of the “Hero” singer was even shown on a 1997 episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Some people dissed the 44-year-entertainer for living in a fantasy land where she thinks she is 18 and wears a size 2 which is why she is constantly photoshopping her album covers to the point where she is unrecognizable.

Few advised her to accept her age and her curves and be happy.

Others made the valid point that Carey never said that the photo was recent.

And when you look carefully at the picture, it seems Mariah was looking at old photos with her kids and took a picture of a pile of old photos laying on a table or a bed and shared it on Twitter.
