Malia Obama Extant TV Summer Job

Malia Obama summer job is probably better than yours. Many media outlets are reporting that Malia obama got her first summer job, working behind the scenes with Halle Berry and Steven Spielberg. Malia Obama landed herself a very amazing summer job where she worked a production assistant with Steven Spielberg on Halle Berry’s new television series Extant. The 16-year-old who is an aspiring film maker was trilled with the gig which she called a big deal.

Malia Obama is said to very happy with her first summer job which consisted of being on a television set with some of Hollywood’s biggest names.

Miss Obama who will celebrate her 16th birthday on July 4th, took the role of a TV production assistant on the set of the CBS summer series “Extant” where she helped re-shoot the pilot episode.

The much talked about CBS sci-fi thriller “Extant,” which is produced by Steven Spielberg will star Halle Berry in the role of Molly Woods an astronaut who returns back to earth after a year-long solo mission in space and has difficulties reconnecting with her husband John Woods played by actor Goran Visnjic and her son Ethan Woods played by Pierce Gagnon.

According to sources last week while President Barack Obama and the first Lady Michelle Obama were in Los Angeles for a commencement speech and fundraiser, Malia worked on the set of the series for one day where she “helped with computer shop alignments and the director also let her slate a take.”

The insider went on to explain that Malia had the following to say on her big TV gig:

“My first time. This is a big deal!”

Asked for a comment on the story, The White House declined.

Back in January POTUS revealed for the the first time that his eldest child was interested in filming.

The First Daughter who will be in the 11th grade come September at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C. is said to a big fan of the raunchy television show “Girls,” which does not sit well with her parents.

“Extant” will premiere on July 9 at 9/8c on CBS and many are wondering will Malia Ann Obama’s name appear in the credits.
