MakerBot CupCake CNC 3D Printer
MakerBot CupCake CNC 3D Printer – MakerBot was featured on CBS this evening. Tonight we learned quite a bit about MakerBot Industries which is a company founded by a trio composed of Bre Pettis, Adam Mayer, and Zach “Hoeken” Smith in January of 2009.
The enterprise is known for creating 3D printer rapid prototyping machine that are called the Cupcake CNC.
To make a long story short Cupcake uses the ideas behind the RepRap Project to create desktop 3D printing that are affordable.
Cupcake CNC machines are sold as do it yourself kits that need minor soldering on non-critical parts from the user. Above is the piece that CBS aired about the company.
