Lisette Lee Arrested 506 Pounds Of Pot Private Jet – A California resident accompanied by a bodyguard who was traveling on a private jet was arrested with 227 kilos (500 pounds) of marijuana, placed in 13 bags at an airport, federal authorities said.
Lisette Lee, her bodyguard and two personal assistants were arrested on Monday night after the DEA received a tip that a woman 28 years old was traveling with a suspicious amount of luggage.
After the plane landed in Ohio, one Lee staff member and her bodyguard helped luggage dockers to unload the luggage, authorities said. It took two porters to carry some of the larger suitcases full of bricks of marijuana and three vehicles to carry all the luggage, officials said.
The authorities also confiscated her purse, three cell phones, cocaine, marijuana, apparatus for drug and suspected drug ledgers that showed more than $ 300,000 in transactions.
Lee was charged with drug conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute. Her lawyers, Bill Meeks and Dave Thomas, did not return telephone calls Wednesday. Lisette Lee was detained without bond until she appears in court on Friday.

Lee told investigators that she rented the plane to travel from the town of Van Nuys, California to Columbus, Ohio, to visit a friend and bring supplies to a horse farm. She said that it was the fourth trip of this kind.
Lisette Lee said that a friend paid her $ 60,000 to transport 13 bags from Los Angeles to a hotel room in Columbus, where she had to stay for few days.
If convicted Lee could be sentenced to 40 years in prison and a fine of $ 2 million.
