Lisa Rinna “Housewives” career turn may not come as a surprise to fans who have been following her for decades. Lisa Rinna is joining the cast of Bravo’s reality show “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” (RHOBH) for its upcoming 5th season that will debut later this year.

The “Days of our Lives” actress who has been married to Clash of the Titans actor Harry Hamlin for 17 years was rumored to join the program in 2013 but the network denied the reports at the time. 2014 is the year when Lisa Rinna becomes one of the famous “Housewives” of Beverly Hills.

This will not be Rinna’s first foray in reality TV, she was front in center on 2010 TV Land’s hit “Harry Loves Lisa” with her husband and two teen daughters. The show chronicled their hectic lives in Hollywood.

Lisa Rinna joining “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” was in the making for months, in April it was reported that negotiations were advancing really well on a contract for her to be part of the growing franchise.

Sources close to the “Housewives” told US Weekly that Rinna who is 51 has already started filming scenes for the reality drama. This is interesting since Bravo nor Lisa Rinna have confirmed that she will be part of the ever-expanding brand.

It’s probably safe to say that an official announcement is coming soon. What is certain is that, Joyce Giraud and Carlton Gebbia will not be coming back for the next season. The ladies were fired after just one year as part of the cast.

Lisa Vanderpump, Kim and Kyle Richards, Brandi Glanville and Yolanda Foster are all expected to be part of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” season 5. Glanville and Foster returns have not yet been confirmed but since they have already started shooting scenes it would be totally surprising for them to get fired.

Lisa Rinna who is very active on social media has not even alluded to the “Housewives” chatter although some of her supporters already started congratulating her on landing this new gig.
