Lesley Ann Warren Call: Actress Says Yes To Curtain Call Performance

Lesley Ann Warren curtain call performance of “Ten Minutes Ago” will certainly please fans. Warren who played Cinderella 50 years ago, will be joining the new cast of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” during the curtain call to sing “Ten Minutes Ago” on September 23rd.

People who attend the Broadway production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” will be getting two Cinderellas for the price of one.

Lesley Ann Warren who starred as the princess with the glass slippers will be in attendance, and has plans to join the new cast for a special performance.

It has been confirmed that on September 23rd, Warren will be on stage with Keke Palmer as Cinderella, Joe Carroll as Prince Topher and Sherri Shepherd as Madame during the curtain call for a one time performance of “Ten Minutes Ago.”

Warren had the lead role in the 1965 television version of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella,” which also starred Ginger Rogers and Walter Pidgeon in the roles of the King and Queen respectively.

Warren’s Prince was portrayed by Stuart Damon. Celeste Holm played the Fairy Godmother, while Jo Van Fleet was the Stepmother.

Other cast members included Pat Carroll and Barbara Ruick as the evil sisters Prunella and Esmerelda. The Mission: Impossible actress said that she was trilled to sing during curtain call:

“I’m really looking forward to it.”

Next year, the television version of “Cinderella” will celebrate its 50th anniversary, and a special DVD of it has been released.

On the 24th of September, Lesley Ann Warren will appear at Barnes & Noble located 150 East 86th Street where she will perform, be interviewed by Richard Skipper and sign copies of the DVD.

The 68-year-old actress jokingly revealed about the big anniversary:

“It makes me sick. It is crazy because it truly doesn’t feel that way to me. I can’t even wrap my head around it.”

The new Broadway production will be playing at the Broadway Theatre and the national tour in Providence, RI on October 10.

  1. If you’re my age ..and this IS about a 50th anniversary!…who DOESN’T remember this version of Cinderella? She was so young and beautiful!
