The talented lady unveiled the new look on the social networking website under the caption, “change is good.” Her fans are always behind her, applauding the fact she is often not afraid to go places where others would not dare to. Dunham is definitely a risk-taker when it comes to fashion and personal style.
Dunham’s followers initially believed that the actress was wearing a wig and she was just dabbling with a new hairstyle. 24 hours later she proved the doubters wrong by sharing a picture of a friend’s wedding she attended on Saturday.
In the second photo, Dunham is seen sporting a side-swept hairstyle. If this was not enough proof, a day later, Dunham decided to take the Ice Bucket Challenge, which left her hair totally wet and in a mess.
The Supporting Characters actress had two very good reasons to change hairstyle this week. The first one had to do with her friend’s wedding, she may have wanted a different look for her friend’s big day. The second possibility is linked to the fact that her comedy-drama “Girls” just wrapped the filming of its fourth season, the bowl cut is a way of welcoming a new era. “Girls” season 4 will contain only 10 episodes instead of the 12 installments of season 3. It is expected to debut in early 2015.
Lena Dunham makeover comes one month before the release of her book Not That Kind of Girl: A Young Woman Tells You What She’s “Learned”, which will be released on September 30 via Random House. The Oberlin College graduate will travel accross the country to promote her latest venture.
