Put down that grilled cheese sandwich and go for go for tuna or ham because another Kraft Singles recall has been announced.

On July 31, via the Food and Drug Administration, Kraft Heinz Company revealed that it voluntarily recalled over 36,000 cases of Kraft Singles individually-wrapped slices because it has recently been discovered that the thin plastic packaging around the cheese was not staying in place.

According to the statement issued by Kraft Heinz Company, the packaging could stick to “the slice and it could potentially cause a choking hazard.” Thus far, ten people have contacted the company complaining of packaging issues and 3 of them have accidentally swallowed the wrap and have choked.

This latest Kraft Singles recall concerns 3-lb. and 4-lb. sizes of Kraft Singles American and White American pasteurized prepared cheese product with a Best When Used By Date of 29 DEC 15 through 04 JAN 16, followed by the Manufacturing Code S54 or S55 that were sold in the United States, Puerto Rico and Grand Cayman. They were not shipped elsewhere. More details on the product being recalled:

The S54 and S55 codes refer to the two production lines on which the impacted product was made. The Best When Used By Date and Manufacturing Code are stamped on both the larger 3-lb. and 4-lb. boxes and the enclosed individual 1-lb. packages.

The giant American food processing company also apologized to its consumers and asked them to return the product to the store where they purchased it for an exchange or full refund. The statement went on to say:

We deeply regret this situation and apologize to any consumers we have disappointed. Consumers who purchased this product should not eat it. They should return it to the store where purchased for an exchange or full refund. Consumers in the U.S. and Puerto Rico can also contact Kraft Heinz Consumer Relations for a full refund, at 1-800-432-3101, Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm Eastern.

Last year, there was a recall by Kraft Foods Group, Inc. (before it became Kraft Heinz Company) because the wrapping around cheese slices was not sealed properly. Therefore, the cheese spoiled faster and caused few people to fall ill.
