Kim Kardashian called in NPR’s Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me over the weekend where she tackled a variety of interesting topics. Kim mainly talked about her new book, Selfish. The name of the baby she is pregnant with was also addressed. The TV star revealed the reason she surprised Kanye West with a fun-filled day at the Staples Center and what pushed her to release a selfie book.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashian star slammed the rumors that claimed she is having twins; she has a surrogate, and she is expecting a girl. The model and fashion designer said she and her husband, Kanye West, have not yet shared the gender of the baby with members of their entourage, so they have no idea how the information got leaked. The television personality explained:

“We actually haven’t told anyone the sex. So I heard that we’re having a boy, I heard that we’re having twins, I heard that I’m not even carrying my own baby… I’ve heard so many things, and most of the information is not true.”

The hosts on NPR asked Mrs. Kardashian West if she was naming her baby West or South. Kim Kardashian said she found the name South stupid, one of the hosts of the show went on to suggest that she translates South or West in Danish or an African dialect and use it as a name for the baby. Kim K. replied with:

“You’ll be surprised at all the names people do send us. I mean, everyone keeps saying South, and I think that’s so stupid. It’s the stupidest thing ever, and just ridiculous.”

Mrs. Kardashian added:

“I don’t like South West, though, because that’s like – you know, North will always, you know, be better… I don’t think we’ll go with another direction.”

The 34-year-old mother-to-be recently landed herself the title of “wife of the year.” Kardashian spent over $110,000 to rent out the entire Staples Center so Kanye West could celebrate his 38th birthday playing basketball with his friends. Justin Bieber, John Salley, James Harden, rapper 2 Chainz and John Legend all showed up for the big moment.

She revealed during the NPR chat that West had always wanted a basketball court behind their new home. However, she was not able to build one in time for his birthday, which is why she got him the Staples Center on his big day. The socialite shared:

“It’s been this big fight where every time I get my daughter something, it could be the smallest toy or especially when I got her playset, which was her Christmas present, my husband wonders, you know, how come we can’t get a basketball court? … And so I’ve been ignoring his request for like two years.”

She jokingly said that her book, Selfish, is very deep and claimed that duck faces are done. She revealed:

“In recent years, I’m like too cool for duck face, so that doesn’t happen.”

Kim Kardashian’s NPR appearance concluded with a little chat about Kim Jong Un.
