A Kelly Giuliana feud has fans wondering when did things get so ugly. In the latest developments, Us Weekly reports that Kelly Osbourne is considered dead to her former friend and partner in crime on Fashion Police, Giuliana Rancic, who believes that Osbourne did not have her back during the Zendaya Coleman scandal in February. A source told the publication:

“Kelly is dead to Giuliana.”

It all started on February 23rd when the 40-year-old host made an on-air joke about Zendaya’s hair at the Oscars. The 18-year-old actress was sporting dreadlocks at the big event. Rancic said that Zendaya’s hair:

“smells like patchouli oil, or maybe weed.”

The remark did not sit well with commentators on social media and elsewhere who deemed them racist. Rancic rushed to apologize, but the damage was already done. The events that followed were filled with intrigue. Osbourne quit the show and took to Twitter to write the following:

“I DO NOT CONDONE RACISM.”

Rancic, who values loyalty, saw this as the ultimate betrayal. Fashion Police was put on hiatus in March by E! after comedian Kathy Griffin, who had just replaced the late Joan Rivers, decided to leave. On Wednesday, Rancic was happy to announce that the program would be back in the fall. The mother of one told Access Hollywood Live‘s Billy Bush and Kit Hoover:

“I think more than ever, [‘Fashion Police’] is definitely coming back, because [the controversy] shows that a lot of people were watching the show and enjoyed the show. So yeah, it’s coming back in September, in time for the Emmys. I will be on the show, Brad Goreski will be on the show, and now they just have to fill the other seats.”

Rancic’s career may be moving forward, but she does not seem ready to forgive her ex-friend.

  1. Always enjoyed Fashion Police and I especially like Giuliana Rancic. Think she got a raw deal with the Zendaya “episode”. Will be looking forward to Fashion Police return.

  2. HER REMARK WAS TOTALLY NOT NEEDED. DOES SHE KNOW FOR A FACT? THAT IS SO STEREO-TYPICAL’

    1. EVERYONE has said something in their life they wish they hadn’t…INCLUDING YOU…and don’t think anyone believes you don’t harbor and unhealthy thought of others, for whatever reason…so don’t get all self-righteous. Same thing with Paula Deen…EVERY person has said something racist in their life, whites about blacks..blacks about whites…What a hypocritical society we live in…Go back to the UK Kelly

  3. If Kelly was a good friend then she should know Guliana is a nice person and not throw her under the bus. When Fashion police returned, Kelly was just not good on it anymore. And I liked Kelly until this happened…

  4. Free press for the show and for E! channel. Kelly Osbourne got the job because of her parents, not for the college degree she earned in fashion or broadcasting.

  5. If Joan were alive & kicking she’d have slapped em both back into place. Namely Kelly. Joan Rivers always made off-the-cuff remarks about anyone she wanted to. And she never apologized for it. ‘NEVER.’ That’s why I like Giuliana Rancic. Plus she has paid every due in life possible to survive & be allowed to strive. Trust Fund Baby won’t be missed.

  6. While Guliana’s remark was snarky, I see nothing racist in it. What do patchouli oil and weed have to do with race? Kelly, and other haters, took it way out of context. My first thought on seeing Zendaya’s pic was, “Love the dress, but the dreads are inappropriate for formal wear.” I think that is all Guliana was attempting to express, but she could have found a nicer way to say it. The remark was ‘off’, but Kelly’s reaction was waaaaay off. What did she think to accomplish with jumping on the ‘racist’ band wagon against her own co-worker?

  7. Actually, who cares! the show was great with Joan, but now that she is no longer with us, let it go!!! will never be the same, no one can fill Joan’s shoes, & the rest were just supporting characters for Joan.

  8. Obviously Kelly never cared for Giuliana to begin with and wanted a reason to leave the show. She could’ve been woman enough to go about it another more “grown up” way.

  9. Weed and dredlocks do conjure up images of hippies and Rastafarians, neither are a characteristic of any particular race, though. Did Kelly speak before thinking or have some rationale for targeting Giuliana?
