A Kelly Clarkson Redbook interview is making headlines. After being slammed and bashed for her weight, Clarkson, who graces the May 2015 cover of Redbook, has decided to hit back at some of the critics by saying that she does not have time to obsess over these things. Kelly Clarkson also spoke to the publication about her sex life with husband, Brandon Blackstock, by explaining that they do not have a schedule.

Kelly Clarkson‘s Redbook cover is simply beautiful. The winner of the first season of American Idol appears on the cover of the May 2015 issue of Redbook in a long flowy white and red summer dress.

Mrs. Clarkson looked radiant with smooth waves in her hair, fun jewelries like gold tear drop earrings, her wedding ring and simple chain and a mega smile.

Baby River Rose, who will be one in June, joined the “What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger)” singer on the Redbook cover.

Redbook’s Brie Schwartz talked to Kelly Clarkson about the recent comments made by Fox News anchor Chris Wallace regarding her weight. Wallace was a guest on The Mike Gallagher Show when he and host Mike Gallegher decided to fat-shame Clarkson. Gallagher said:

“Have you seen Kelly Clarkson? You know the singer, Kelly Clarkson? Holy cow, did she blow up.”

Wallace joined in by adding:

“She could stay off the deep dish pizza for a little while.”

As she has stated numerous times in the past, Kelly Clarkson has revealed that she is happy with her body.

When asked about Wallace’s rude remarks, the “My Life Would Suck Without You” singer replied by saying that she does not have time for people like that. Kelly Clarkson confessed:

“I don’t obsess about my weight, which is probably one of the reasons why other people have such a problem with it.”

Clarkson, who has made peace with her body, shared that while some people are naturally thin, that is not her case. The Texan revealed:

“There are just some people who are born skinny and with a great metabolism–that is not me. I wish I had a better metabolism. But someone else probably wishes they could walk into a room and make friends with everyone like I can. You always want what someone else has.”

The From Justin to Kelly actress also opened up about her sex life with new husband, Brandon Blackstock. Kelly Clarkson, who might have divulged too much of her private life, revealed that she loves having spontaneous intercourse. The “Mr. Know It All” singer shared with the magazine:

“I always swore ours would not be a relationship where we have to schedule sex. That is never going to happen. We put each other first. I call it the oxygen-mask mentality — take care of yourself first!”

Kelly Clarkson briefly talked about her parents – Jeanne Ann Clarkson and Stephen Michael Clarkson – who got divorced when she was just five years old. According to the diva, her background has influenced her to remain an individual despite being married. Clarkson said:

“Brandon is not my other half. He’s a whole and I’m a whole. I’ve never believed in someone taking care of me, and that’s probably because I grew up poor and without a lot of family stability.”

The Kelly Clarkson Redbook interview has gone viral with thousands of people praising the new mom for standing up to the critics/haters while few others just kept bashing her.

This evening, NBC re-aired the March episode of The Tonight Show where host Jimmy Fallon did the History of Duets with Kelly Clarkson singing songs like “I Got You Babe” by Sonny & Cher and “Mockingbird” by James Taylor & Carly Simon, and the pair killed it.
